For more than 40 years, the National Art Honor Society programs have provided national recognition and opportunities for students who exhibit outstanding scholarship in the visual arts, and for their teachers. Participation in NAHS provides your students, faculty, school, and community with invaluable benefitsโ€”including peer recognition, leadership growth opportunities, college and career preparation, recognition of your art program, and so much more.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the chapter shall be to:
A. Inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art;
B. Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art;
C. Further creative abilities and talents of the Societyโ€™s members, as well as the schoolโ€™s entire student art enrollment;
D. Aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area;
E. Bring art to the attention of the school and community;
F. Increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum;
G. Further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the schoolโ€™s total program.

Eligibility:  Members must meet the following criteria:
1. Have taken or currently be enrolled in an art class at Olympus High School i.e.  (Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Exploring Art, Photography, Film Production, sculpture, AP Studio Art, AP Art History).
2. Have a B average in your Art Classes.
3. Participate in at least one of the following activities during the school year.

If your membership has been confirmed in a pervious year, and that membership has not been revoked you do not need to apply again.

In order to recognize the tremendous effort, time and dedication of our Art students here at Olympus High,  we are offering special recognition to all art students that demonstrate these this high level of dedication.  They will be awarded with special regalia to wear during the graduation ceremony to recognize their efforts, time and dedication.  Further information on how to qualify will be sent to shortly

In order to be granted the title and honor of a Titan Master Artist you must complete 6 of the following items

  • Complete 2 AP Art Classes (Drawing, 2D, 3D, Art History)

  • Complete the Master 2D or Master 3D art skills packet (see Mr. Petersen or Mrs. Van Slooten for details)

  • Exhibit work at the Springville All State Art Show

  • Exhibit work at the Granite District Art Show

  • Receive an Award of Mastery in an Olympus High Art Show

  • Serve in a leadership position in the NAHS

  • Be selected as a finalist in any of the following Art Competitions: PTA Reflections, Federal Junior Duck Stamp, Doodle 4 Google, or any other state art competition, contest, or festival.

  • Make a significant contribution to the artistic legacy to the school and or local community through service, leadership, education, or work of art.

  • Compete in the Granite district Art Olympics
