Sense of Community Mural

What began and was interrupted by the Covid lockdown in the Spring of 2020, is now complete. Olympus art students have been busy designing and painting this new school mural. As part of a district wide series, each high school in the district was invited to create a 4 foot by 8 foot mural to represent their community. Working closely with professional Utah muralist Matt Monsoon, students had to research and develop a concept of an image and symbols that to them represented the unique qualities of Olympus and its community. The intense process took over a year to develop, plan and execute. We are so proud of their results! It will be on display with the rest of the schools that participated in the UMOCA in downtown SLC, visit the other schools involved, and then become part of the Olympus High Art collection where it will be displayed in the halls of the school for years to come.
